Every foaling year is extremely anticipated.  But some years more so than others.  We've come to the conclusion that we've never been this excited as we are for 2015.  With our Quarter Horse stallion, Cap, we have finally produced a palomino, now we're hopeful for our first dunalino and we have a very good chance of raising one next year.  Out of a beautiful, good minded, well-bred, AQHA mare.  All of Zan Baron Capital's other foals will be tried and true crosses and we've got a good idea what to expect, build and temperment-wise.

Early last year (2014) we welcomed our brand new stallion, KJ Black Ice, to our home at 2 A.M. from his 25+ hour journey from Alberta, Canada.  (Something that we've decided will be a one time thing!)  But we were truly blessed to purchase a stallion sight unseen, that completely checked off our list for a stallion prospect.
We had no clue what to expect from this guy but so far with his first three foals on the ground here in Kansas we've been beyond pleased!  They're super friendly and as loud as can be.

** 2015 was a wonderful year - full of colored and great minded foals.  Every last foal has been sold!**

Sire: Zan Baron Capital AQHA
Dam: Smooth Double Jacks AQHA
DOB: 4/18
Our mare Lady is fast becoming one of our best producers.  We try not to play favorites but we absolutely love this elegant buckskin filly!  This filly is not only super friendly and affectionate but she's also pretty easy on the eyes.  She should mature at 15 hands with a beautiful build.  Bloodlines include many Pitzer Ranch horses including: Watch Joe Jack, Two Eyed Jack and Baron Bell along with other bloodlines, Zan Parr Bar, Skipper W, and Doc Bar.
This beauty is SOLD!

Sire: Zan Baron Capital AQHA
Dam: Sweet Jacks Lace AQHA
DOB: 4/8
Our Two Id Sweet Jack daughter had a beautifully correct sorrel filly.  Although she did not get the dune or creme gene from her sire, she is no doubt going to follow in her full siblings footsteps and turn heads with her nicely muscled Quarter horse build.  This filly will mature at about 14.3 hands with plenty of substance.  Bloodlines include: Two Id Bartender, Two Eyed Jack,  Zan Parr Bar, Docs Solano, Poco Tivio, and King Commander to name a few.
Sold!
We've searched extensively for mares that we think will compliment him and set him up for nothing but success in 2015.  We will have TWO guaranteed BLACK foal a long with one guaranteed dun foal, a long with a chance of a buckskin, and lots of chrome.  But it doesn't end there.  All these mares and Ice himself come from long lines of proven horses, ALL mares are by sires that are proven, point earning horses.
It's looking to be a looong winter...

Sire: KJ Black Ice ApHC
Dam: Carinas Black Gold AQHA
DOB: 4/23
Our black AQHA mare, Carina foaled our first  EVER KJ Black Ice foal and when we first saw her our jaws dropped!  This bombshell of a filly was a total surprise.  For a modern day Appaloosa she has a ton of color.  This filly should mature at about 15 hands and have a heavier build than you'd think a black leopard would.  Her pedigree is full of Sheldak Ranch horses including, Acclaim, Prince David, Mighty Tim, and of course BEB, along with AQHA lines: Leo, Lady Bugs Moon, and Three Chicks.  This filly is bred to go in many directions, her maternal grand sire excelled at western pleasure, plus he has many halter and racing bloodlines.
This black leopard beauty is SOLD!
